Current Features

So I currently have two features that have been more like monthly features. Starting this month, expect them weekly!

Bringing it back it starting on Fridays, Links You'll Like is a collection of a weeks worth of links I find interesting or just want to share with ya'll. :]

My personal favorite, What's on my iPod will happen on Wednesdays! Basically this feature is just a collection of my current music obsessions

And, in the spirit of the holiday season, a new feature for December!

For the next 25 days, starting tomorrow (the 1st!) I'll be making posts on things I find beautiful, whether a picture, a story, anything. Get involved guys! Send me your beautiful thoughts and ideas!

Because it's been so warm, Gabe juuuust put the bike away for the winter. Before he did, we went on a ride or two :] toooo much fun. We went to Daves Marketplace in Cumberland for free coffee (haha) and then went across the street to an apparently widely regarded bike park in the woods. It was ridiculous! So cool to watch.

Ari's learned that being nice the cats make for a much better outcome compared to beating the shit out of them.

Her second birthday was on the 23rd of this month, the day before Thanksgiving. We celebrated, I cried, and unfortunately all the photos are on my phone. Not only that, but I had to work the whole day :[ I'm looking forward to her birthday party in mid December.. but oh my god, my baby is two! She tells me when somethings bothering her, when she loves me, when she doesn't, when she's tired... She's the perfect daughter and she knows it. (Ask her who's perfect, and she'll say 'ARI!') Lately, she's been clingy to me. "Mama, I want to see you" "Mommy, sleep in my bed". I don't hate it; she was never a cuddly baby or anything, always so independent. SO maybe it's catching up to her now! haha.

blowing this up and framing it

We went to my parents around noon on Thanksgiving, and had another mini celebration in honor of the birthday princess

Ari cracking up and trying to imitate my dads crazy piano playing. Let's just say it was one for the books.... (the itsy bitsy fucking spider!!) hahaha

I have the sweetest boy ever. I ask for some cd's, this is how he keeps them together. Awww.

Traffic going into Providence

A few weeks ago, Juniper fell off our 4th floor porch. I searched everywhere for her, couldn't find her, considered her dead/missing. Totally devastated. The next morning as I was getting ready for work in the bathroom, I heard a tiny meow. Thought it was our other cat Nig, but given the circumstance I leaned close to the window screen and clicked my tounge. The resulting repeated "meow!!!!"s filled me with such happiness. When I bolted down the stairs, Juniper jumped into my arms completely unharmed, just hungry. Crazy how life works

This past weekend Gabe and I went to Joes Rock on the motorcycle. Loved it. It's been so nice out, but enough is enough. Bring on the snow.

ps: read this hilarious story, and this heartbreaking one.

Well, I suck. I suck at blogging lately and I realize I know why. I take WAY too many pictures for the amount of time I can allot for them. It's pretty ridiculous, and even then I still only choose a few to show on here. Between this and the next post, 65. Really? I hope you guys enjoy the photos, because there's plenty of them. I'm excited to introduce a few new features for December though, meaning I'll be back on track to regular blogging. :]

Anyway, on to the photos:

Homemade pizza!

New books! First one is an excellent read so far

Over the past month, Ari has been wicked into painting, drawing, etc. One night I set her up with my acrylics and she made her very first painting on canvas, not even 2 years old.

Ari drew little designs on her entire easel

My family gets together every thursday night to have dinner together, and Ari and I headed over to my aunts to hang out and eat, while visiting with my Uncle Junior + Aunt Pauline. Gabe was there too but no pictures :p We ate delicious food, caught up, and Ari had so much fun. She even rollerskated for the first time!

In the middle of the month, I got my first real tattoo. It looks so sick! Nate Moretti at McInnis Tattoo Co. in Providence definitely hooked it up. Check his website out here. I'll admit I was nervous to get such a big thing done, not really starting out small and in anticipation of the pain. It was nothing until the shading where it hurt a tiny bit more. I already have another appointment and quite a few ideas lined up, but we'll start with finishing my right arm ;]

It says "time is all we have"; I was adamant about the words being there and the pocketwatch, so Nate made me a super happy customer when I saw what he drew up

next tattoo inspiration.

Makeshift jewerly hanger until I can either find a super cool one or make the one I want haha

It was getting cold outside, but the past week has been unseasonably warm....
