Happy Friday!

It's the first weekend of Spring! What are your weekend plans? Tonight, I'm getting together with a few friends in Providence for dinner and drinks! By sunday, I'm hoping to have my apartment organized (must finish craft room!) so I can enjoy the day relaxing, as I've heard it's supposed to be a damp day. Whatever fills in the rest of the weekend, I welcome with open arms :] Have a great one, loves!

Memorial Day Weekend {photo overload}

How was your holiday weekend loveys?

We had a wonderful one :) On sunday, my friend L and I took our munchkins to Wallum Lake in Douglas.

On the way there, we seriously needed gas and ended up driving around to find one. We stumbled on an old antique barn/ thrift store, so we got out enjoyed that for a little. It was awesome! The little old buildings formed a cute courtyard with chickens running around. After we ventured through the barn, on our way to find gas, we almost drove out in the middle of a parade! haha good stuff.

Eventually we found a gas station, and made it to the lake where the girls had SO much fun playing in the 50 degree water! It's amazing to see how much Ari has grown since last year, where she was just learning to crawl at this time, she now builds castles in the sand and plays with other kids. ♥ All in all, it was a great day with one of my best girls!

Yummy, healthy snacks

Time to get out, both girls took their shoes off

On Memorial Day, Ari, C and I went to their Uncle Rons to celebrate. He lives on Echo Lake so of course Ari was in the water almost all day again (she's a fish). We had yummy dynamites, good beer, and the sun was shinin'. What's better than that? C and I took the canoe out a few times and that was fun, especially when power boats go by and big waves try to tip the canoe!

Ari had such a great time, I can't wait til the Volkswagen is fixed so she can swim the (freezing) Atlantic ocean :) xo

Even when the sun don't shine...

Wonderful week, right? Clearly this is going to be one of those at home productive weeks. Which is all well because C's stepmom just gave me a bunch of vintage dresses that were her mothers, so I can't wait to start making more things for A!

Yesterday I spent the entire day and part of the night cleaning and organizing. So happy its done! I found time to do some yoga and Jaxon joined me:

I got around to fixing a plate that has been broken for about a month now. These little French plates came in a set of four, and I just love them so much. This one was being used under my mint plant, and C broke it one day (men..). It sat in pieces until saturday, when I cleaned them in the sink and sliced my thumb open length-wise! Glad it's done.

I also got around to sewing a pillow that's been waiting to get put back together

It cleared up a bit yesterday evening, fooled me into thinking it would be nice today, but hey at least the sky was pretty for a little while

You know it's Spring when the lilacs are in bloom. We have plenty around our house right now! We have a dried (well, currently drying) bunch hanging in our bedroom, and fresh ones in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. It smells like a garden in here haha

This is also my last week as intern! It seems so recent that I was blogging about getting accepted into the program and how I was feeling. It's been a very self-reflective time and I've definitely grown as a person, student, and employee. I finally have confidence in my abilities, totally a good feeling :)

Hopefully it's sunnier weather where you are? Xo

Happiness hit her like a train on a track

Isn't she adorable? Her new passion in life is picking every 'yellow' she sees. I am not exaggerating when I say every. It's cute, but not when she's throwing a tantrum cause mommy stopped her from going in other peoples yards ;) lol.

Truth - I really suck at keeping up with my blog during the week. I make an attempt every day! But I tend to pass out realllyyy early, like last night; 8:30 and I was pretty much done. A goes to sleep between 7 and 8, sometimes later, but whatever her bedtime, I'm usually not far behind. I like to wake up bright-eyed at 6am and have my me time before the crazyness ensues. A nice cup of tea, no electronic distractions, just music and whatever I want to read. :)

I'll make up for my lacking of posts this weekend, promise! Lots of interesting things to share ;) xo

Happy May 1st! Some Changes...

Yes, I went MIA for a short time, I felt I needed a break from the computer and needed to analyze what exactly I want to do with this blog. For the month of May, I'm hoping to have: 1-2 giveaway, 2-3 guest posts, hopefully 2-3 new recipes a week, and a bunch more informative content! I'm starting with reachable goals, and hope you all can help me reach them! I'm currently looking for guest posters, but that will be a seperate post - if you're interested, please email me at Sparkleee@msn.com. The pictures will be non-stop of course, and I'll still be writing about my life, but I'm going to be taking a new approach ;)

Anyway, this is just a recap of the week. Spring is in full swing, we've had wonderfully warm weather and even some welcomed rain. The trees have actual leaves on them, and there is an abundance of dandelions growing through every crack it can in the sidewalks. Ari is loving it! She calls them "yellows", and feels its completely necessary to pick every one she sees.

Ari was in shock when she saw a huge field of dandelions, she was so happy!

(Marshmellow face!)

Up next, a food recipe and home cleaners recipes :)

Ari's 2nd Easter + the real beginning of Spring

Easter turned out to be a beautiful day, felt like it was close to 70 degrees and the sun shone bright until around 2pm when clouds took over. We went to my parents first, Ari received a wonderful goodie-filled basket and we all hung out on the back deck and enjoyed each other. Afterward, we went to visit my great-grandmother, Ari's first time being there. ♥ Our last stop of the day was C's fathers house, which was definitely high-energy. Munchkin had so much fun doing the Easter Egg hunt, she grabbed the basket from C and took off with the big kids! We painted eggs, and ate yummy food. Drew with chalk, and Ari had a blast jumping on her pepere's couch for a solid half hour with her little friend.

Yesterday, it was another amazing day and we walked to the park to let Ari play for a while. The grass had erupted with purple and white flowers, it was so pretty!

I have photos from today but I'm going to put them in a new post, sorry so photo heavy! Xo
