Links You'll Like

I totally slacked this weekend on updating! I think I'm better suited to blogging only monday thru fridays, anyway - that way, I won't feel guilty for not doing it on the weekends ;)

So instead of just a post on what I did this weekend, I figured I'd links some sites/articles/whatever that I've been finding interesting lately!

Definitely going to be trying this recipe for Crockpot Mashed Potatoes- seems so easy!

Toilet Paper Roll Owls would look so cute on the Christmas tree this year!

I'm loving the use of cookie cutters and photos for this holiday decoration

Beaded curtains. I am obsessed.

{the past weekend was a good one though; I had a great time seeing my friends as usual, and it was nice to get out of my own head for a little while. sunday morning was all cuddles and movies and being comfortable, and yeah, perfect.}

Enjoy your tuesday! xoxo

Good Times {weekends}

The past few weeks have flown by! It's already April, I kind of can't even believe it. The start of warm weather is sure to come soon, and I know Rhode Island is definitely ready for it. We had a string of beautiful weather, and then as soon as it came, it left; bringing with it the icy, cold rain. It was a somewhat strangely welcome change of pace, but the sun shining today put me in the best mood.

Work has of course been miserably busy, I've been doing OT and coming in early, for free. Hopefully one day this year things will be decent so I don't feel guilty taking a vaca ;]

Ari is hilarious as always. She always makes me laugh, and says the funniest things. I was listening to her try to coax the cat into the other room, so I said "Ari, you can't make someone do something they don't want to do, okay?" As I heard her little feet run away, I also heard her say "noo". Hahaha

Two weekends in a row I've hung out with great people. From being at Muldowney's, to Thayer Street, to a house party; wherever I go, the common denominator is my best friend Lorena, which equals a super fun time haha.

{I don't go out nearly as much as the following depicts; it's called drunk camera-ing} late night pizza eating haha A few weekends ago, fried vegetables at Kabob + Curry on Thayer Street All the beautiful spring weather caused a lot of things to bloom early. I am so glad I got a picture of the tree, because when I came home from work that day the cold air had begun to turn it brown. I snapped more photos.
Baby toes (in dress up heels- waahh!!) This past saturday, my friends and I decided to make a feast. We followed through with it, and it was well worth it. Steak, chicken wings, mashed potatoes, spanish rice, brussel sprouts, garlic parmesan italian bread. Even homemade mango peach tea (including the 1/3 of a handle of the Captain ;) After dinner, we played some card games and somehow it turned into a full blown party. It was super fun, as I vaguely remember falling asleep sitting up in the driveway haha. :
i forget why he was growling haha
last photo taken before my camera battery died
I won't even lie, I am totally one of those people at the bar who is so curious as to everyones "story". I had to get a picture of this couple; If you were at Andreas bar on Thayer on friday, and this is you, well wow. I have never seen two old adults act like thirteen year olds before. "Totally dating" haha

Two mirror pictures in one night... yes I do that.
{pbr, if you're curious ;}

my hand looks giant here!
Aahh nights in Providence. I've gotten a lot done within this time frame too though! Living room and craft room, both completed :] Ari's room is practically done, only thing left to do is go through her clothing this weekend, which I am surely dreading. Things have just been so busy, I have no time to think. I kind of like it this way.
Clean car and summer wheels outside of McInnis
tonight with my sunglasses; when Knockarounds become available in toddlers, snaggin' someee.
She is seriously a ham

Now I'll leave you with only the best collection of photographs EVER. I laughed my head off. Enjoy xoxo

never enough time

I've been meaning to blog for almost two weeks now; I'm sad I haven't gotten around to it. Yay for mobile blogging though! Since I last wrote, things have just been non-stop. Between my health issues and my bodys inability to fight anything off lately, I am exhausted. My body feels tired, overworked, and tense. Ari is sick as well, a cold with a pretty shitty cough. Work has been overwhelming. Taking care of this house has become increasingly overwhelming too. There's so much I need to get done (half-finished kitchen painting, etc) and there is just not enough time in the day. Expect a much more detailed post by the end of this week, that will include both What's on my iPod and Links You'll Like, and some interesting news ;) {along with a ton of pictures!} Xo happy wednesday!

Current Features

So I currently have two features that have been more like monthly features. Starting this month, expect them weekly!

Bringing it back it starting on Fridays, Links You'll Like is a collection of a weeks worth of links I find interesting or just want to share with ya'll. :]

My personal favorite, What's on my iPod will happen on Wednesdays! Basically this feature is just a collection of my current music obsessions

And, in the spirit of the holiday season, a new feature for December!

For the next 25 days, starting tomorrow (the 1st!) I'll be making posts on things I find beautiful, whether a picture, a story, anything. Get involved guys! Send me your beautiful thoughts and ideas!

Friday Links You'll Like

Happy Friday! I hope the day finds you well and ready for the weekend ♥

-This week has been tiring, but eventful. On Monday, I went with my parents, sister, and Ari to the Pumpkin Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence. It was a nice night, aside from me forgetting the sling. Lots of pictures to go through and post, I just haven’t had the time! Once I settle down to start on them, all I want to do is sleep.
Tonight is the Circa Survive concert, SO excited! The first time I saw them was October 2005, with Gabe. Now, it will be my second time seeing them, with Gabe, 6 years later. Weird how that works ;) Expect many photos from this as well.
Tomorrow I’m up early to help run a vendor fair at my sister Veronicas school; hoping that there are power outlets near where I’ll be, I’m planning on bringing my laptop to get some work done.
Sunday, broke.down! My best friend will be joining me and I’m hoping there is a good turnout for the event. Who doesn’t love Vw’s?!

Now on to the links you’ll like!

I’m loving these recycled engagement rings so much, I’m considering saving up for one myself just for the hell of it!

A great tutorial on reusing and decorating glass bottles and mason jars!

Got rough hands? Not after using this lemon sugar scrub! Love this idea, potential gift idea for Christmas?

Why we get mad

Doing this!

Interesting article on money and relationships

Links you'll Like - Earth & Rainy days

Friday was Earth day, but it was not looking very promising - So I vowed to get outdoors today. Apparently I don't watch the weather, because it was crazy raining all day! So that led to indoor activities, such as drawing and painting the bathroom. But alas, Earth day shouldn't be one day a year - it should be every day! Here are some links you will like, Earth day edition ;)

Friday we received Ari's easter box from mem mem! She loved all her clothes, tore through it but stopped to look at each thing, and put her beaded necklace on right away! Thanks mem, we love you xo

Her new favorite thing is walking on her tip toes

"Niiiiiiice baby" - Ari's phrase of the hour when playing with her doll. She was making me laugh so much, the way she was so attentive to it but at the same time abusing baby LOL. For instance, she would throw baby off of the bus, but right after go pick it up and lay it back down on the steering wheel. hahah

Ari loves to dance, in these photos she has her egg shaped maracas and was dancing in circles. Right after that she ran to her play yard and hung out on the side of it for a good ten minutes. Every day it becomes more apparent that I am raising a monkey

This morning was interesting.. Ari has a whole bunch of new socks, and usually we let her choose what she wants to wear (within reason.. temperature wise lol). It's important for me to let her develop her own sense of style, and she already has a good one ;)

Lots of art today

We also decided to paint today (C did while I kept the little munchkin entertained)
The room was two toned, the top being white and the bottom and ugly spraypaint looking green.

It looks so good! Definitely a huge change from when we moved in.

We also had a shelf on the bathroom wall that I've been dying to paint, and with befriending the neighbors and being allowed access to their paint hord, I finally did that :)

Tomorrow is easter day. It has no significance to us other than being a hallmark holiday, an excuse to celebrate, to spend time with family and eat and enjoy the beginning of spring. I actually did catch the news tonight, and it's supposed to be 65 degrees. ;) A is going to have a blast, and I'm excited to see how it all goes.

Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow, xo ♥
